Jackie Morris is an author, illustrator and painter. Her books include 'How the Whale Became' by Ted Hughes, 'Tell Me a Dragon', written and illustrated by Jackie and published in 14 different languages, and 'The Seal Children', a love story set in Pembrokeshire. She also works on cover art for the novels of Robin Hobb and designs best selling cards for the Musicians Charity.
Jackie lives in a small cottage beside the sea near St Davids, a cottage that she found 22 years ago when she came to visit for a weekend and stayed.
The landscape, sea and creatures of the area weave their way in and out of her work. She has won the Tir na Nog award twice.
She is currently working on a photographic book for Graffeg, of cats and landscape, exploring a small corner of the beautiful landscape of Pembrokeshire.
Jackie works in partnership with Solva Woollen Mill, Middlemill to make signed books available world wide. The Mill hold regular book launches and often have titles in advance of publication. They also exhibit a small selection of Jackie’s original artwork.
